About Zibina

Involvement in Guyana’s Educational System

Zibina held the strong belief that any child can learn once given the appropriate tools. In her youth, Zibina attended St. Alban’s Anglican Church (now Belladrum Primary) in Belladrum, Berbice. Her scholastic excellence earned her a scholarship to attended secondary school in Georgetown.

J.E. Burnham Primary

Headmistress
Zibina served in varying educational capacities at J.E. Burnham Primary from teacher to Headmistress. Being action oriented, she led and directed the rebuilding and renaming of Kitty Methodist School to J.E. Burnham Primary School. In recognition of her service and dedication to the school, one of the houses is named in her honor. Adams House stands amongst the other stalwarts named Houses of Bernard, Burnham and Cornett, all of whom were former principals of Kitty Methodist School.
